Barnabas the Barmy

Another great moment from the Harry Potter books that unfortunatly never made it to the big screen:

PDP film project 2012: "Poop"

Here it is. Again, sorry about the watermark.

Finished puppet and set

Finished it JUST in time for shooting (when my heliumFrog program decided to screw me over big time, so I had to download a random trial version which put a horrid "TRIAL PROGRAM" watermark on top of it.)

I owe a lot of this sticky mess to Nick Hilligoss' awesome stop-motion puppet tutorials here.

I've finished the project now..

But I thought I'd still put up all my work-in-progress anyway. I decided on the design a bit late, so I made a quick model sheet:

Medieval Goblin

So, I think I've decided on the final design. Went from evil towards a more pathetic look:

or "Professional Development Practise". Either way, it's time to start working on my self-chosen summer term project. After 3 months of 2d brain drain I decided to focus on puppets, which should (hopefully!) end in 10+ seconds of animation. Here are some of my first conceptual development designs for my character:
